Biography<\/h2>

\nPino Pinelli was born in Catania in 1938, where he completed his artistic studies. In 1963 he moved to Milan, where he still lives and works, fascinated and attracted by the artistic debate of those years, animated by figures such as Lucio Fontana, Piero Manzoni, Enrico Castellani. He participated in the San Fedele awards and in 1968 held his first solo exhibition at the Bergamini Gallery.<\/p>\n

Among the numerous collective exhibitions, we remember: Venice Biennale (1986 \/ 1997), Rome Quadrennial (1986 \/ 2006), Lalit Kala Akademi Art Triennale in New Delhi (1986), and among the museums: Galleria Civica di Modena, Galleria Civica of Turin, Mus\u00e9e d’Art Moderne of Paris, National Gallery of Rome, Palazzo Forti in Verona, Villa Arson of Nice, Kunstverein of Hannover, Haus am Waldsee of Berlin, Kunstverein of Bregenz, Hochschule f\u00fcr Angewandte Kunst of Vienna, Kunstverein of Frankfurt, Palazzo Rospigliosi of Rome, Palazzo Bricherasio of Turin, Fondazione Zappettini of Chiavari and Milan, MART of Trento and Rovereto, Museo della Permanente of Milan, Casa del Mantegna of Mantua, Museum of Contemporary Art Villa Croce of Genoa, Convent of Carmine of Marsala, CAMeC of La Spezia, Villa Clerici of Milan, BAG, installation at the Bocconi University of Milan; Palazzo della Gran Guardia, Verona, Museum. He has held over one hundred solo exhibitions in Italian and international museums and cultural institutions, including: Kunstverein Villa Franck in Ludwigsburg, Mus\u00e9e d’Art in Langres, Forum Kunst in Rottweil, Civica Galleria d’Arte in Gallarate, Kunstverein Schloss Lamberg in Steyr, La Rocca Paolina Exhibition Center in Perugia, Italian Cultural Institute of London and Prague, Fontana Manzoni Pinelli (three solo exhibitions) at the Kreissparkasse in Rottweil, Cascina Roma in San Donato Milanese, Villa La Versiliana in Pietrasanta, Aeolian Archaeological Museum \u201cBernab\u00f2 Brea\u201d of Lipari, Palace of the Duke of Senigallia, Trademark, Chiaramontane Factories of Agrigento, Palace of Culture of Catania.<\/p>\n

In 2016 he held a large monographic exhibition at the Multimedia Art Museum in Moscow and in 2017, the anthological exhibition at the Marca di Catanzaro, in Milan in 2018 he held a large monographic exhibition in the rooms of Palazzo Reale and at the Gallerie d’Italia.<\/p>\n

His works are in numerous permanent museum collections including that of the Museo del Novecento in Milan, the Mart in Trento and Rovereto, the Center Pompidou in Paris and the Museum. Art. Plus from Donaueschingen; the Communication Study Center and Archive of the University of Parma, the San Patrignano Collection in Milan, the Pablo Atchugarry Foundation in Uruguay, the Margulies Foundation in Miami, the Zappettini Foundation in Chiavari, the Gallerie d’Italia in Milan, the MAGA of Gallarate, the Civic Museums of Lecco, Museion of Bolzano.<\/div>
